Pizza places in the United States run from a counter with two stools and a stack of boxes to a full sit-down pizzeria with a bar, and most neighborhood shops do all three things at once: dine-in, takeout and delivery. Ordering by phone is still common and often faster than an app, and many independents charge less when you call direct because there is no platform fee. Sizes are usually listed in inches (a small around 10", a large 14", an extra-large 16" or more), and a large feeds two to three adults. Slices are sold from a display case at New York-style counters and reheated to order; whole pies take 15-25 minutes at a busy shop. Most spots take cards and mobile pay, though a few older pizzerias remain cash-only, so check the door or the listing before you order.
The business lists hours on 5 days of the week. The most common schedule is 5β10 pm. Note that it does not open on Monday, Tuesday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (201) 683-4734. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is panellopizza.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Hoboken is in New Jersey, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Hoboken follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I didnβt have the best experience at this restaurant. In general, the pasta prices are extremely high. The majority of them are ~$30 and I donβt think you get anywhere near what you pay for. At first, I ordered the Bucatini Carbonara and when it came out it smelled like spoiled milk. I sent it back and got the Penne Vodka instead. The penne vodka was good, but didnβt justify the price, and I found that the parmesan they served in a side dish, I imagine the same parmesan they put on the bucatini, also smelled like spoiled milk. Iβve eaten some FUNKY cheese in my time, but I know what spoiled milk smells like and itβs different from funky cheese. Their house bread is really good, and from other reviews people seem to like the pizza. Maybe just stick to that if you come here? I wonβt be coming back myself. Thereβs much better in Hoboken.

I had an outstanding dining experience at this pizza restaurant. The pizza was absolutely delicious, easy on the stomach and cooked to perfection. A special compliment to the chef, whose very nice and genuine The service was excellent from start to finish. The server was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome throughout our meal. Shout out the Sevinc. The atmosphere was warm, inviting, and comfortable, making it the perfect place to enjoy a meal with family and friends. The combination of great food, exceptional service, and a wonderful ambiance makes this restaurant a place I would highly recommend. I look forward to coming back again soon!

We usually love Panello, and have gone there for years. Theyβre super accommodating for families with kids, and the food is great. We had a strange experience yesterday. Our pizza was brought out missing a slice. The waitress told us it broke, and sheβd be back. Multiple people work the outdoor area, so we didnβt see her again until we were ready for the check. I reminded her about our pizza and she said they could offer us dessert. We declined, so they offered to give us the meatball appetizer to bring home which we were happy with, only to realize it was just one meatball when we got home. Very bizarre experience, and am curious what happened to the missing slice. With so many options in Hoboken, Iβm not sure weβll return.

Iβve been going to Panello at least once a week for years and it is still as amazing as it was years ago. All service, food, and atmosphere couldnβt be better. Sadly, because of location, this restaurant is very underrated. Whenever someone asks me for a recommendation for a restaurant, I will always recommend Panello. If your looking for a family-friendly, yet quiet authentic Italian restaurant, definitely consider going to Panello!

The restaurant is pleasant with good food in a rustic setting. The menu, authentic oven and prices indicate a premium experience and though it was pleasant enough it didnβt quite achieve the promise. The pizza was fantastic yet overpriced. The pastas had decent flavor yet lacked some of the toothsome bite you expert from perfectly prepared dishes in Manhattan. The vodka sauce was fine but I wouldβve like more cream and the cacio e Pepe needed more oomph. There is no liquor license so you are welcome to BYOB with no corkage fees so that is a huge plus for dining in but from a takeout standpoint there may be some better options to get you your Italian fix at a more reasonable price.
